OK, I have to say on some laptops that I've installed D1/D2 on, the game plays OK but is NEVER full screen, just a window that fills the screen (the borders are visible).

On another laptop I've recently installed the game on, though, the game can NEVER play full screen or it freezes or becomes jumpy. Weird, it runs fine when I choose to play it in a smaller window.

These are my friend's laptops, btw, which I HAVE gifted the game to them so I've paid for it. Can you guys help me fix these problems? Thanks.
Are you running the games in DOSBox or with a source port? (Rebirth or D2X-XL)?

OK I just saw your other post...I would suggest getting DXX-Rebirth: http://www.dxx-rebirth.com/

It's a source port that lets Descent run well on modern computers. You can install it easily using the installer (In the "General" section of the DXX forum, or here on this forum :)

It's got a tracker and such for online play, so you can easily host or join games with people anywhere (Although alot of people have started using the development builds...if you want help with that I can walk you through it :)

Welcome (back?) to Descent!!

Alright! Hey one question. Does Descent Rebirth allow you to enable cutscenes in multiplayer co-op mode? My GF and I have wanted to be able to see those when playing co-op, and I also wanted to take her to D2's secret levels in co-op.
Which cutscenes? The exit tunnel ones? Um...I'm honestly not sure...I'll ask zico (the developer of Rebirth) about it :)
Yeah... exit tunnel cutscenes AND the cutscenes when you go to a new world. I know it isn't much, but it'd be kewl if we could see that together.
