Hello, i just downloaded D3, I found that everytime i want to play, I have to go to the %gog.com%/descent3 directory, select main.exe, and turn off and on the win 98 compatibility mode otherwisemain.exe wouldn't start (black screen)
another issue is that after exiting the descent3 process or/and the main.exe process remain alive so if i try to rerun descent 3 it don't start (it lock on a black screen) unless i kill this 2 zombie process
(btw if main.exe is zombified and you try to detect your vga, the descent launcher will freeze)
I'm trying to run it on my gma950 laptop using opengl accelerator (directx one have some glitch on screen)
as said in the other 3d, if you don't rename merc.hog to extra.hog the mercenary doesn't start
