Hey all, my favorite aspect of D3 was always the multiplayer. I was wondering if there was any way to play multiplayer now or if anyone knows of any active servers etc. Any help here would be appreciated! I want to take my ship out for a spin against some real people :)

This thread has great current info about descent 3 multiplayer. My personal favorite app for descent chat/map downloading/server browsing is vortex
Vortex is what you're looking for. You can chat, browse/join servers, and download/install missions without launching descent3. It works great. I use it with the GoG edition of descent 3.

yup, had missed that thread earlier. I downloaded vortex, had it setup in about 5 mins (you just need to tell it what directory you installed D3 into for direct launch) and was playing my first D3 multiplayer game in nearly 10 years!!!!
I even managed to get a few kills too ;) I look forward to seeing more of you out there!!!!
