Okay, so I have been researching this issue and cant seem to find a solution, any chance GOG could do a patch for it? Basically what happens is when I (and many other people) set the sound quality in Descent 3 to "high" the in game audio has alot of static. There is no other effect on the performance of the game, and as a matter of fact, the only affected audio seems to be the ship noise and the afterburner. It is strange, but it makes for an annoying experience. Any suggestions? My system is more than capable of running the game, and I have tried all the different audio settings in the startup menu, no luck.
