I keep getting a black screen after the intro movie in D3 on Windows 10, I don't know what's causing it. Anyone have a solution?

Are you using DirectX or OpenGL in the settings? I'm using OpenGL

Try switching between renderers. OpenGL works smoother, but Glide and Direct3D offer more enhancements.

In addition, in the D3 Setup screen under MISC, input these command line switches:

-launched -usesmoothing -nomultitexture -himem -hividmem -subpixelcorrect -nocompress -nointro -nooutragelogo -nosparkles -nomotionblur -z32bit -directinput -framecap 60

You can also type in a custom resolution, such as -width 1920 -height 1080

If the game loads and you have a tiny box instead of full screen, use the plus and minus keys to adjust the viewport.

If it still doesn't work, try downloading the 32-bit patch from Descent 3 Sector or the 1.5 BETA patch.

Glide won't work anymore as there are no 3DFX cards anymore

The glide wrapper is the default setting for the GOG rebuild of D3.

I'd rerun the setup in the launcher to make sure it's seeing the correct video card.
