I have a problem with sounds. Or more accurately with the lack of them.
The launcher has sounds but when the game begins it as if it were mute.

My sound card is "SB Live!".
The launcher detects it but it doesn't help. I've trued EAX and DirectSound but not working.
Not in the intro, not in the menu, not in the game.

Anyone else have this problem and know how to solve it?

Did you have the launcher detect your sound card? If so, try it again. Use Direct Sound.

Yes, I did have the launcher detect my sound card and it chose Direct Sound for me. Which did not work.

Did you check to see if Sounds were enabled in D3? Maybe somehow they are set to 0.

No, it wasn't that either. I finally fixed it by choosing onboard sound device to be used instead of SB Live! Value sound card.

Aha, you might have to disable onboard sound in your BIOS to get your SB Live working. lso, make sure you have the SB Live drivers installed.

I'll try that. If it won't work, I guess I'll just use the onboard sound.
