It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

The rear-view button (I've got it bound to 'r' at the moment. ^_^ ) causes the entire screen to switch to rear-view while the key is pressed.

I've noticed in the demonstration video that there is a small window that displays the rear-view while the rest of screen remains with the forward view being displayed. (Like the missile cam.)

This question / problem has been solved by A_Future_Pilotimage
It's shift+f2 or shift+f3 I believe. It's shift+f something lol. You can cycle the view in two little windows down by the cockpit.
It's Shift-F2 for sure. ^_^

And! It also toggles on a mini-window for viewing from your guide-bot! O_O

Thank you for the info A_Future_Pilot, Rock on! ^_^
You're welcome! Also, if you're not already using it, check out DXX-Rebirth. It's a source port for Descent that's really really awesome! You can find info on the FAQ here on this forum :)
Cool additional information: (imo anyway!) -_^

Both Shift+F1 & Shift+F2 will toggle between Rear, Guide & Off for your secondary screen(s).

However! F1 & F2 control separate screens! O_O

So you can have a screen open for both your Rear view & Guide bot... or two Guide bot screens or rear views! ^_^

Or if you only like having an additional screen on the left or right, you can have just that screen open... (Goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway!)

The fact that these screens can be opened and cycled so quickly in-game without opening a menu is very useful! -_^

This is such a cool feature! XD

I'm pretty happy with the DOSBox version of Descent 2. I may try using one of the Mods when I run through Descent 1 again though. -_^

Thanks for pointing out the source ports. ^_^
