I can't get this source port to run in W7 x64. Every time I run the .exe it minimizes to the taskbar. Has anybody gotten this to work?

Do I need to patch it to 1.14a first or is the GOG version already the latest one? I just copied descent.hot and descent.pig over to the Rebirth directory.
