Does anyone have a list of the cheats for the guidebot? I remember there was a way you could turn the guidebot into your fighting companion.

BTW is there any way to make dx2-xl actually work with the decent provided by GOG? I tried and failed miserably.

Yes very thuroughly, but using gog install, the instructionsw leave a lot to be desired.

I have to admit that I don't know how the GOG install looks. I have several Descent 1 and 2 CDs on my shelf, so I didn't bother getting a copy off GOG. Will do so and look over it soon.

No need karx, I've bought Descent from here and have D2X-XL working just fine. What I need to know is how is it not working. Is it not working at all or is there something else wrong. Oh, and if you get it started, you may be missing sound for a lot of things, either turn off hi res sounds or download the pack from descent2.de because D2X-XL only comes with a few of the sound files.

The question then would indeed be how exactly D2X-XL is not working. Actually all you need to do is to move the various Descent files into a few subfolders of your Descent installation to make D2X-XL recognize them. That shouldn't be too hard.
