60 fantastic levels for less than a fiver!
For those who've never played it before the basic gist is that something went down and you're the guy they've sent in to fix it.
You've got to navigate your way through the mazes finding keys to advance to the reactor to blow it up, then you've got a mad dash to find the exit.
So it might be worth finding the exit first. In your way are hordes of enemies that've gone haywire, so thankfully your ship comes with weapons as standard. And with a little exploration you can find even more than your bog standard Lasers and Concussion Missiles, like Quad Lasers, Homing Missiles, Plasma Cannons, Vulcan Cannon etc...
There's also some items out there, for example to help you in dark areas find the headlight, or for a quick getaway get the afterburner!
Descent also features some boss enemies, so there's a good deal of variety here :)
The only downside is the speed of the mouse, it's very slow.
But, for the price, if you like FPS', then you can't go wrong. It's just brilliant :)
