I didnt like Dins and Depths of Peril much. I usually like action/rpgs with a story. Not just some random encounter left and right. Is Drox the same old shit like that or is there any depth to it? Story is paramount and not having a story on an action rpg is like not having a dick on a guy.

There's ARPG's with story (beyond intro/background story about big bad threatening the world and you have to go kill him and kill half of world population while at it)? Drox has backstory but, as far as I know, the galactic sectors are randomly generated and generic and only thing that will affect next sector are your acumulated skills and equipment. Only big difference is that your character is a space ship. If you want story, you'll have look for real CRPG's. Action RPG's, as name implies, are generally about action and acumulating loot and skills.

You can always check few youtube videos to see what kind of game it is or try the demo.

Drox is a very fun space-Diablo game but not so grinding as Blizzard's monster. There is diplomacy, factions and such. It's more time-killer than an interactive book so if you want some thrilling story twists and turns you'd better pass this game.
I've only played a demo of Din's Curse, and I own Depths of Peril (and I think it's AWESOME!), but I would be thrilled to see other Soldak games here on gog!
