Have any other players encountered the game crashing back to desktop towards (I believe) the end of the game after starting the bomb sequence? Without skipping the movies it crashes but inevitably just crashes anyway. I can't finish the game and its incredibly frustrating. If anyone has a solution I would love to know.

Yes. I started writing a ticket to support and attached the dxdiag, then realized two-year-old drivers won't look terribly good in the report. So I updated the video card driver, changed fullscreen to windowed and reduced the resolution. I don't know what helped, but something did - it ran fine on the subsequent attempt, and I never sent that ticket.

I have the exact same problem - all drivers up to date, been trying it in windowed mode, different resolutions and so on - and nothing works. Would appreciate any help at all with this.
