I think that there is something wrong with the game mechanics. I have run a country where I raised the GDP, lowered crime to nearly non-existence, same with poverty, raised education which created cyber-terrorism, because every well-educated, technologically sophistocated person dreams of hacking, raised health care - in short, I created an ideal society. My approval ratings were excellent, yet the game claimed I had 0 members in my party, and the opposition had more.
So, where is my chance to start assassinating my opponents? Smearing their names, and more. Stupidly enough, when I institute a sick society like the USA has, the game thinks that is better than a low-crime, healthy, non-impoverished, well-educated society with a decent GDP.
There seems to be a capitalist bias built into the game.
