I was looking at finishing all stone skull upgrades so I checked the skull locations. I needed 12 skulls to upgrade the last two weapons (the charlatan's and archshepherd's staves) and I already had 8. Problem is, only three skulls remain up for grabs and one is unaccounted for.

Not only that, but check the pic attached. You'll see I have two versions of the charlatan's staff.
Anyone have seen this problem before?

Edit: Looking at Level Up Labs' forum I see this kind of thing isn't new, but it's usually tied to importing old saves into new versions, mainly from Newsgrounds' version. I never played it in Newsgrounds but it's possible a version change screwed up my save.

Well at least I can edit the save file. A bit of experimenting here and there, with a nice backup in case I screw it up, and I'll be up and running pretty soon.

The double charlatan's staff is a known bug. It's fixed in the the next patch :)

Assuming you didn't have the extra (un-upgraded) charlatan's staff, do you have enough skulls for everything else?

Counting the three that still need me to defeat their maps on advanced I suppose I do as long as the extra staff is actually an extra, in which case I even know which line to delete to get rid of it. I only didn't do it so far because I want to be sure it's not actually some other unique item's corrupted line replacing that item with a charlatan's staff.

I'll have to update my skull count as well, but that doesn't look hard either. Good thing you made save files so easy to edit.

Thanks for the reply. It's nice to see the dev tending to the customers and fixing the bugs.
