Hi,

Sorry to start a fourth topic in 2 days, but does anyone have a full translation of the language that the god uses in the dialogues (the one with the weird symbols). I actually managed to crack it mid game, but I lost those notes, and now there is some additional dialogue in the last battle dialogue. I really don't feel like deciphering that again.

Thanks,

OK, I just went a deciphered it myself again.

Posting it here in case anyone else needs it. Sorry for the quality, but hopefully this is good enough.

Ah, so all this was unnecessary? In Game+ you can just read this normally?

I think I remember so.

(I will try to answer your questions as good as I can, which is not much, because I think I stopped playing twice in the mid of game + and it's been quite some time)
Well, in the temple, one of the texts on the wall is "Call Jenny" written in those characters upside down and reflected. There is another text but it's incomplete. I can make out individual words (again reflected and upside down), but they don't form a sentence.

You are quite an achiever to go all the way to translate those :-)
I admit it's the kind of mysterious things that really makes me dig this game and proves all the care that was poured into it.

Remember what I said about the Book of Secrets and the special room....
This is a hint to one of them...

Alright! Doing the secrets now.

In a way I'm glad I solved those myself without before knowing you can just get a ready answer in game+ (It's not that difficult once you take the single letter words, either A or I, and start from there. A quick frequency analysis can also help a lot.).

And actually, by doing the translations, you've done yourself a favour. You do have to back-translate to enter some of those things. And not sure if you noticed, its been a long time since I played it, but the levels that have secrets supposedly "flash" when they start up. The number of flashes supposedly equaling the number of secrets on that page. There are 11 secrets in total in the game to find.
Got them all, though 4 of them were so obscure I just googled for the answer.

Does the book "Valley of Forgotten", the one you get for unobtainium skulls, give you anything in battle or otherwise? Its description says something "maybe you should take it on your adventure" but I couldn't find anything.

If I remember correctly, it gave an enhanced diary/journal which was pretty funny to read. Those books had come out about the time I dropped the game, so I'm a little hazy. But I'm almost certain it had no in-game play benefits.

Thanks. I'll try it out.

I know this is old, but in case you or anyone else is still curious, the script is from the old cuneiform Glagolitic alphabet:
