Just played the demo and it was pretty nice, but I don't really think it is worth 15 dollars. If it was 10 dollars then I would have considered buying it.

Well, I bought it in February for $15, then I bought another copy on GOG for $9.99 just because I couldn't be bothered to wait for a free code. It's quite possibly the most addictive singleplayer game I've every played, so if you won't hate yourself for "wasting time", go for it.

I'm playing it now. It's fun and most addictive.
I paid $10 for it on the GOG launch promo and I'm glad I did.
I wouldn't pay $15 for it, but then again, I wouldn't pay $15 for any game ($10 is my maximum).
Personally, I think it is, but that really depends on how much you want to play the full game.
Well, it is a very personal question, so you should ask yourself: do I like the genre ? Does it seems worth $15 from my standards ?

If you're unsure, try to get some neutral review to get a glimpse of what the game can offer.

Well, for my part, I liked the humor and I like the genre. It's very well done. In fact, for the technology used, i'm quite astonished. You can find lots of shitty flash game out there, but not this one.
DS games of this caliber go for 20-30$. 40 If 3d is put on it. Based on the demo I would consider it worth 15 dollars. Considering the UI set up I kind of hope the developers port the game to android tablets. If they did I would buy a second copy.
yes, worth it
it won't seem like it when you beat the campaign the first time, but when you get into NG+, some extras kick in, and things start to get awesome.
Normally I have a very hard time justifying $15 for a TD game even though I enjoy the genre, but this one is really excellent. It's different enough from your average TD game to be interesting, and the upgrade system is flexible enough to allow for very diverse strategies. The level and enemy design is also quite good, and there aren't really any super-annoying enemies or irritatingly constructed maps. Even the bane of all TD games, scaling issues, can be largely circumvented by bumping the XP bonus up to 300% and grinding a few maps.

Personally I don't regret buying it in the slightest. I wish I'd gotten it back when it was on sale, of course, but I was poor at the time.
Yes.

Don't know what part the demo covers, but when I started playing, I was inching toward a no.

Then, I got access to more interesting units (for me, things started to look up once I got access to ice mages and knights) as well as encounter more unique enemies which increased my interest in the game.

Furthermore, the skill tree gets interesting once you reach the higher levels and have to make some tougher calls.

And finally, while I found the dialogue overly silly at first (it felt like it was "everything for a laugh"), it grew on me at about 1/3 of the way through the campaign, once I fell into the groove of the game.

I paid 9.99$ for it, but in retrospect, I'd pay 15$ for it.

Especially the sidequest dialogues. The one in the cave had me in stitches for 20 minutes.
I got is when it was on sale, but I think I would have paid 15 bucks for it. Maybe it will go back down for a time around Christmas if it goes on sale again. I know last year most of the games here went on sale during this time, but I don't know how GOG will handle newer releases and indie games.

Anyways, back to the game. I find it highly addictive. If replay vaule is of concern, it does have a game+, with the old levels being made harder. Also, it is a bit moddable, so there may be some mods made for it in the future.
As much as I like the game, it isn't worth $15. Still, I did pay that much because I'm willing to let an indie developer slide on certain things, and the devs do seem responsive to lots of little things.

Once there are some solid mods --- and maybe the option to add a larger variety of music in game, because, well, ugh. Again and again the same tunes ... --- it might be worth list price.

Not that I really mind. Again, I'm happy to give an indie developer a little more money than I would normally pay, just on principle.
Ditto. I was considering getting GTA IV + 2 expansions for ~$10, but, in the end, bought DQ. It is a great game, though $9.99 might be a more... suitable price.

Agree to disagree. I find it to be totally worth the 3 big mac extra value meals asking price
