The Afterlife update went live on Steam today.
Any idea when it'll show up on GOG?

Hopefully they won't snub GoG.

As per the game's Discord, they are working on the GOG update right now.

Hopefully it'll be out around weekend time.

got to wonder what the actual problem is. shouldnt it be as simple as uploading the build to gog?

From the beginning on GoG, updates have been extremely slow.
I tried to talk to them on discord only to be assured back in 2018 that: updates would be releasing side by side on steam and gog from now on.

This was a small initial hotfix and it took them a week, so I'm not sure whats going on.

GOG updates take more time compared to Steam. Besides, the new expansion is quite broken and so they're pushing tons of hotfixes, check the discord channel. I'd rather wait until they fix all the major bugs.

Just found info from the developer on a Steam post:

"Where is Death’s Gambit: Afterlife available for purchase?
Death’s Gambit: Afterlife is available on Steam and Nintendo Switch, and will soon be available on Playstation 4 and GOG."

No date but this confirms it is coming, good, since I had not seen any official confirmation at all, well, we have to wait then, no worries, I still have a huge backlog of games to play but I do want to play this, I postponed my playthrough because short after I bought it here I found out about the upcoming Afterlife release.

dude when is the update finally gonna hit gog? I'm getting real tired of waiting... should've bought it on steam instead...

"Hi since 95% of the messages we get now are about Switch not getting a patch, the GOG release, and PS4. Let me just address that here real quick.

The Switch patch has been ready... for 2 weeks.... but keeps getting delayed for very frustrating reasons. We expect Switch will be updated at the end of this week but we can't be 100% certain.

GOG is coming but also blocked by a different but equally frustrating reason. It is still coming.

We are working on the PS4 release, no roadblocks atm here, we are still fixing some PS4 specific issues/bugs. "


As far as I'm aware regarding the Switch version Nintendo has been rejecting patches for completely asinine reasons, which is awesome because the game is in a really bad state without 3 weeks or so of patches. GOG though, I dunno what the issue is there.

I suppose they want to push the fixes all at once on GOG. I suppose it'll tak at least 1 or two months at this point.
