Because 3DO version is reportedly better and the Windows version was said to be a poor conversion. Hopefully GOG is selling both.

(Edit: I can't edit the topic subject to say Windows instead of DOS)

Looks to be Windows (portraits aren't moving like in 3DO version).

Can't imagine it makes financial sense in the slightest to port over a console version.
