I walk towards a slope at the start of the game, but instead of going down the slope, I'm just hovering above the ground?

Also I'm having trouble finding the main menu after starting the game. Esc pauses the screen, but doesn't show any selectable options. Best I could find out was pressing Esc, then Enter brings me to the load screen.

Is this how the game is supposed to run? Or is this maybe a bug?

Just booted this up again after having played it some time ago and I'm having the same issue (loading from a previous save). Not sure what the issue is and I can't remember this being a problem when I was playing.
