Just bought this game, finding it quite interesting to play despite all its flaws. I'm still on episode 1, up to chapter 6, waiting for everyone to gather at the community center. However my game crashes any time I try to load while not in windows 95 compatibility mode. I would just stay in this mode however the game takes forever to load in win95 mode.

Has anyone experienced this particular crash where you can't load your save while waiting for the community center? It was working for most of the day, but after I had lunch at the sheriff's office I had a crash and now it won't load. Thinking of just restarting the chapter to see if that helps because I really don't want to play in win95 mode the entire game. Is there any disadvantage to restarting a chapter? Does all your progress prior to that chapter get included in the new save (side quests, items, etc)?

With that said, thanks to swery and rising star games for something so different, glad it made it to pc. Also thanks to durante for another awesome game fix!

You can try to load W95 compatibility, smoke until the meeting happens, save after the meeting and then turn the compatibility off.

I ended up just starting a new game. Thanks for the advice, will try that if it happens again :)
