I can't start single player game in Deadlock 2 (only join multiplayer available).
Repairing from gog galaxy didn't help.
Why this may happens?

Have you tried launching the executable without Galaxy?

Yes, with the same result.

Okay, I'm all out of ideas and we've tried practically nothing. The PCGamingWiki has no suggestions either. My next place to check would be the registry. To which I mean see if the Deadlock 2 entry looks fully formed.

Another WAG: Make sure the game isn't installed in a protected directory like Program Files.

Thanks for your attempts anyway.

Game installed on D:\Games\
It isn't protected directory.

There are a lot of records in registry in different paths (with "deadlock"). The game seems fully installed, like any other GOG games (records are similar).

I wrote to GOG support last week, but they don't answer, unfortunately.
I have found interesting thing.
Installed version of Deadlock 2 takes uo 503 MB jf disk.
I downloaded offline installer, which are 502 MB and reinstall from it. But the game doesn't work anyway.
I also have Dealock 1. It's installer's size 540 MB, and installed version 900+ MB. It work fine.
Maybe installer of deadlock 2 are broken? It lacks a lot files founded in deadlock 1, like music etc.
It seems it is win 11 problem.
I installed Deadlock 2 on linux under wine and it's work fine.
Sadly.
I bought mine this summer using win 11 and I play it outside of the gog galaxy and it works fine.
I let it do the normal install when purchased and created a new shortcut that does a bypass of gog galaxy.

Hi, I had the same problem, I find this solution on a similar post on Steam:

1. Get this file DDrawCompat-v0.4.0.zip and download it
from https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases/tag/v0.4.0
2. Go to Deadlock II - Shrine Wars and right click.
3. Click Properties and select Local Files
4. Select Browse and it'll open up Deadlock2 Folder
5. Open the file DDrawCompat-v0.4.0.zip and locate ddraw.dll
6. Copy and paste ddraw.dll into Deadlock2 Folder
7. Play Deadlock II - Shrine Wars.

Worked like a charm.
