can't run either on Linux, but I thought it was because the last update wasnt available for us yet.

Afraid not. I suppose the problem could be on my end but I have no idea how. I'm still getting 'You must be connected to the internet to play this mode' although I have no problem at all communicating with GoG Galaxy or any other online program for that matter.

Same for me, just bought the game and super happy with it but daily challenge doesn't seem to work telling me cannot connect to server. Any idea? Running version 1.8 on Linux.

This appears to be partially working with the latest release now.
