While playing I heard the distinct Windows USB-disconnected Sound and the game crashed with a error report. When checking the controller seemed still connected. This might have been a hickup on the driver's side. I could not Escape out of the report nor click the button as the mouse cursor was still invisible(I assume. the window focus switched between active and passive on moving the mouse and clicking).
Had to kill the game through the task manager.
