Well it seems obvious for you and many but i'd have been interested by the answer...

I mean i downloaded and installed the DLC, the whole "rise of the giant" banner appears in the game"s title screen/menu, but i dont know exactly what the dlc do and how i know it is activated or whatever content is in...

Hey there. You might already know this by now, but to access the new boss/route you have to have already have beaten the hand of the king. after that you find some changes at the very start of a new run. Pick up the key you find behind the huge hole in the wall (a little thinking required to get it) and make your way to the graveyard, where you can find the entrance to the new route.

I have already beaten HotK and GoG Galaxy says i own "Rise of the Giant DLC", but when I try to enter the hole in the wall i get the message "You need the Rise of the Giant DLC for this"

Pretty sure it's something about GoG that i'm missing.

Try repairing your game via galaxy, there's propably just a file missing. It didn't update for me as well and that's how i made it work.

Tried many times to repair and even reinstalling the game. Not sure why only today gog galaxy was showing me the install button. Now it should work I guess. Thanks.

Hello.

I have the same issue. DLC is ticked in settings but when I play game it is still without DLC.
Repairing install and ticking on/off won't help.

If anybody else is still having trouble getting this to work (GoG claims DLC is in the library but the game itself is telling you that you need the DLC when you try to enter the large gate), especially with GoG Galaxy 2.0, the following helped me:

1. On the game's own page, the rightmost button at the top center of the page (the one that looks like sliders) is settings.
2. Click Manage Installation -> Configure.
3. Under the "Installation" tab, make sure the following line is ticked: "DLCs Dead Cells - Rise of the Giant", because it's not automatic.
