Hello!
Please share any tips you have found, playing this game.
Thanks!
----------
My tips:
Max. character level is 15!
Use your upgrade points wisely!
Who sneaks first? If 1st person succeeds, so does the rest.
This means, if you have a character with high survivor skill, you can skip some battles.
Try to haggle or convince or threat for +50 XP.
Territory edges have villas. use a keycard, defeat mutations (hard), get great loot.
You need TONS of material!
Hardest things to find:
- military fabric, military parts
- keycard (smugglers have some)
- stuff for enchancer shots, that permanently (!) increase a stat.
Visit merchants often!
But don't waste your money!
Most attack skills are not worth upgrading.
Shotgun is the most versatile weapon. Pistol is second best. Machine gun is borderline useless.
Engineer is the most useful skill. You can do tons of damage with molotov cocktails and shock grenades.
Upgrade one level on hunting skill, to get 'Combat Ready' for bonus defense and damage.
Have one person,
- who can make weapons and clothes.
- who can do the garden - gives both food and water
- who can make ammo - lot cheaper to make, than buy
- who can guard
Multiple people can use one room, i.e. you can have multiple guards, not just one!
Save your save folder often.
i.e. Make a backups of the save files, preferably every (in game) day.
So that if someone dies or you make a wrong story decision, you don't have to start the game all over again.
Be careful with how well you are liked by the factions.
There are only a few cantina missions and a few encounters (besides story quests) that can change affiliation.
NOTE: I have spent 54 hours (!!) with this game, half of which was back in 2022.
I just had to stop, because it got so tedious and boring, even on casual difficulty.
