is this a joke?

using forced-to-use galaxy to TRY and get offline installer and sits on "getting file list" forever..
this is like the 4th game i tried..
no, nothing on MY side.. i can get other games right now, just fine, but not all i want, so it HAS to be a gog issue..

again, i now have several games i want to download offline installers for, started several, and about 40% don't start downloading at all and just "sit" at the "getting file list" stage...

you can't be serious right?

and NO, i don't want the lose files.

edit;

so it's a recent major client issue affecting everyone... ===> gog. com/forum/general/galaxy_stuck_at_getting_file_list_while_downloading_installers

yeah, we need to SUE them, simple as that... soon i will.. don't assume "hollywood" type costly nonsense. it will cost a few dollars to file it, and a government department (with unlimited funds) will take over...

1.) uninstall latest trash galaxy (they all are, galaxy is trash, galaxy is drm) and install older (full offline installer) one.
2.) do not allow it to update. (rename "updater" exe, and so whatever else needed)
3.) use older version to download and probably start not buying from gog.. i started a few months ago, thanks to a new "world"...

Good Old Games needs to dump Galaxy. DRM free means DRM free. I have never used Galaxy and I never will. Good Old Games are on a slippery slope with Galaxy.

"We're DRM free except....".

I don't get this part: Forced to use Galaxy?

In my web browser log-in to GOG (right now), I can see all the 16-parts of the game, ready to select for download.

Doesn't appear that I must use Galaxy to obtain the game.

What is meant by "forced-to-use galaxy"?
Chummer did not hear of gogrepoc until now....

https://github.com/Kalanyr/gogrepoc

Take this and have peace.

Start your games not with the link from the desktop or from the gamefolder, instead make your own link to the game-exe or game-launcher and you will never have to see galaxy again...

Yeah, I tried it briefly years ago thinking maybe it would be a good way to grab the offline installers, but I didn't like how it generated billions of files for them, so I just grab the downloads again now.

Forced? Nobody is forcing you. Just grab the installer from the website. Just in case you don't know (I'm sure you don't).

And being stuck in the downloads was a bug that was quickly fixed.

Btw, I love Galaxy, it's very convenient. And unlike Steam I also download the offline installers, just in case Gog disappears someday. Then I still have my games. If Steam goes down one day, you are fucked.
I downloaded the install files off of the website with no problems.
