This is really odd, but the inventory appears to be broken in a very unusual way...
The verbs work fine when I'm either in the game, or in the inventory (e.g. look at, or combine items) but when I try to interact with things using the inventory (e.g. give an item to someone, or use an item) it vanishes before I can use it (the verb becomes give <person> rather than give <object> to <person>. If I try the same action repeatedly, I can sometimes get it to "glitch" and make it work so I know I'm doing the right action, but as it is the game is basically unplayable.
Furthermore, now that I've collected two rows of items if I try to scroll back up the inventory, it will immediately flick back to the newest set of items i.e. I cannot even access anything once I obtain more than one screen's worth of items.
This oddity happens in "remastered" and "original" artwork, and is the same for all characters. It happens in full-screen or windowed more. I've restarted the game numerous times but I'm blocked from playing due to this issue.
I've checked online, but nobody else appears to have this issue which makes it all the more weird - other games (inc. Lucas Arts games) all run normally on my PC.
I'm using Windows 10, with a 4K screen, and I've tried turning off some other software that could be interacting (e.g. discord, GoG overlays, etc). I've even looked for stuck keys by using the overlay in case something off is going on there?!
I really am at a loss as to what is going on here...
Ok - I've solved my own problem here.
I pulled out my wireless keyboard USB dongle (Logitech K330) and the problem vanished, so there must have been a "stuck key" (or similar) on my wireless keyboard.
After re-plugging in the USB dongle, the fault did not return, but no idea how it got into such a busted state!!
In summary - SOLVED in case anyone else sees this super weird thing...
