I am playing in French. Maybe it is important or not ?

But at the beginning of the game, when I am in the tutorial and that I am asked to create an engineer, and that I create this engineer, the game is blocked. There's an error window that I cannot read. The music is blocked too.
And when I type on the escape key, the game quits.

There's a problem in the tutorial.
Is it possible to get a patch ? Or the install has got a problem ?

I just finished Darwinia, and I've had the same issue you did, although I was playing in English.
I got some solutions for you if you're still interested after more than 5 years. :)
