I have downloaded the soundtrack and avatar files but don't know where to place them. Can anyone help please?

They are not for use within the game. The soundtrack is just for you to listen to with your media player of choice and that avatars are for you to use in forum profiles or in you favorite IM client. You can put them wherever you keep that kind of stuff normally.
