After playing for a while, I'm starting to get Trade Stations denying me landing permission even though I'm not a felon or anything - no 'evil' points.

They say "Landing permission denied. Please fly to a distance of at least 2 units from us and ask again."

I comply, but no luck. I've left it sitting for 10 minutes and tried again, no luck.

It's messing up my trading plans!

Humorously, other ships are complaining 'over the radio' about the delay as well.

Edit: I saved the game, came back later, reloaded at that same point, and the station let me in. Sounds like a bug; I'll try save/reload immediately next time and see if that takes care of it. Problem worked around, at least!

Edit 2: Yes, I keep running into this. Saving & immediately reloading clears the bug up. Everything else seems to be working, though I'm still very early in the game.

I'm noticing the same issue too. I'm 2 "units" away from the trade station, and every time I ask to land it's always denied. Does the player have to be in a specific location to enter the station?

Update: I think I finally figured out how to land immediately. It looks like the ship has to be well under 2.0 units to dock. Flying near the station at 1.0 units seems to help.

Just to follow up, this happened all through my game. The trick was to save when they say that, immediately reload, and they let me in - takes a few seconds to run through it, and I got very good at that sequence. Bit of a pain, but not bad compared to what other bugs could be - unkillable badguys, borked saved games and such.
