I was looking all over the net, and here seems the only place left for problems concerning DSO.
I bought the game in a swiss game shop, so i'm owner of an original german disc. on my old laptop (may it rest in peace) with XP and so on it worked fine (in 1024x768, low graphics and so on). Now, on my supadupa new machine, running vista x64, it just wont run.
I updated the protect disc driver, changed the dll's as in a previous thread noted and it still wont run. i get following message:
"Error loading x64 Driver. Did you forget to reboot?" (of course i did several reboots)
Is there any solution?
Thanks

well, i found a rather unorthodox solution, but it depends on the law of your country. In switzerland, as far as i know, its -allowed-.
The solution is quite easy, as the problem is the copy protection, so i just removed it by getting a nocd-patch.
dirty, but it works.
...or you could buy the game on gog for a pittance, since it'll give you access to a DRM-free version of the game that runs like a charm on Vista64 without the need for a 3rd party patch. ;)
Glad you managed to get it to run though. It's a fun game.
just go to the tages website to update tge tags security driver, or like said above, buy it from gog.com
