I played the DarkStar One demo and enjoyed it, so I bought the full game. Unfortunately, the full v1.31 game will not install. It has a "setup.exe" file that opens a Command Prompt window, which says, "Cannot execute setup.exe". I turned off Windows Defender and my anti-virus, deactivated Vista's Data Execution Prevention, rebooted the OS in Safe Mode, made the setup.exe file XP SP2 compatible and right-clicked to run as administrator. Nothing works. I searched the Internet for answers, and only found solutions to problems that occur after the game is installed. I contacted Ascaron technical support, which automatically replied that support for DarkStar One ended in May, 2009. They even erased the official DarkStar Forum, so any useful information there is now denied. Does anyone know how to make this game install?
