I think since all of the patches on steam have been BETA's, it is unlikely that we will see a full patch until most of the game breaking bugs are stamped out. This is the latest hotfix (http://steamcommunity.com/app/388410/discussions/0/496881136927436269/):
BETA Patch November 18th 2015 - Archon Crash fix & General Stability fixes
Horsemen!
We will of course continue fixing Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition.
Here is a guide on how to access it:
Follow this guide http://ds.nordicgames.at/SteamBetaBranchGuide.jpg
Under Step 1 select "Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition"
You dont need a password for Step 4
The branch for Step 6 is named publicbeta
Changelog
18th November 2015
- Fixed the archon crash
- Introduced general stability fixes with memory consumption
16th November 2015
- Work around for Archon cutscene crash. If it does crash, just load your savegame and you should be able to play on.
- Reset profile options if graphic device creation failed
- Some graphic driver fixes that didnt have a specific bug attached
Please give us your feedback especially if there are some new problems with this version. In the next days we will provide more updates.
And on the 16th:

So it looks like there is still quite a few serious problems even on the steam release up until recently. It might not be out for quite some time on GOG. I would put this game back on the shelf and give it a month before coming back, since it seems even if we were to get a patch now, there is a decent chance it wont be a stable experience in any case.
