Ahoy!
I own the standart edition of Darksiders II on Steam but I'd like to get it DRM-free on GoG. Now the deathfinitive Edition is on sale and I notice the many negative reviews about bugs and only one positive (by Yeshu) that states that all / most bug are solved with the latest patch.
Would you recommend to buy the the Deathfinitive Edition (for just 3 €) or is it still not running / bugged / whatever broken?

The GOG version of Deathfinitive has black boxes for all the abilities/buttons if you're using a controller. It has been that way for a very long time.

You mean that I can't see wich button I have to press on the controller?
I think I can live with that... I don't even have a controller, I consider buying one but I'll be bad at using it anyway.
If I use one, are there just black boxes (which i could simply learn by heart) or are there situations like quick time events where I have to press one randomly chosen button (which I would not be able to see in that case)?
Are those black boxes all that's not working or is there anything else?

I haven't got very far in the game but there are at least a few QTEs that require knowing what button to press. Besides that, that problem makes going into your equipment menu a massive pain, if you using a controller. Also, unless your controller is not plugged in, you'll be to play the game with only the controller. You can see the attachment I've add to this message to see what it looks like.
