The Warmastered Edition is running fine for me, but volume is weird in cutscenes.

The characters' voices are the right volume when they speak, but all the effects are really quiet. It's very strange.

Is anyone else getting this, and have any ideas what I could try?

Same here, sound effects and background music are very quiet, but voices are normal.

Finglas: Same here. In my case either Windows decided to muck about with my audio settings or I simply screwed them up at some point, which was causing the issue for me. I "fixed" it by going to:

Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Manage audio devices > Double-clicking my audio device (Headphones in my case) > Selecting the "Advanced" tab > Changing the "Default Format" drop-down list from "2 channel, 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality)" to "2 channel, 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)". I had originally set it to DVD Quality in the past, but it was changed for some reason.

Changing the setting back to CD Quality screws up the audio again so I know this was causing my issues, but your mileage may vary. It's entirely possible that I just got lucky and the issue goes deeper than this on your end.
We appreciate the workaround, but this is a problem in the game itself.

SFX sounds are not working as intended in cutscenes.

Yeah, I was having two separate audio issues with the game. Hasty post, sorry

It's a problem of 1)v-sync broken 2)audio channel bad programmed.
It's not the audio to be borken but the code that call the audio when the game plays video.
Developers told to update driver audio, but it's not that the problem.
It will not fixed for now, they decided to give priority to other issues and then to this bug.
It doesn't exista a workaround, it's a real bug relate dto the game.
