Hello, everyone!

I recently bought Darksiders Genesis and I was amazed by the graphics and gameplay!
However, I wanted to run the game directly from the executable file, rather than launching it through GOG Client.
(I play solo offline, so I don't care about the extra online features.)

Anyway, when I double click the DarksidersGenesis.exe file, nothing happens. I browsed through the other folders and I found another executable, named DarksidersGenesis-Win64-Shipping.exe
Sadly neither this one works...

Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Is there a way to launch the game without GOG?

Thank you in advance!

Did you install through Galaxy? If yes, the game might be checking for some Galaxy dependency to launch.

But if you use the installers, it should be working fine. Generally, if you don't plan on using Galaxy for a game, you'd better use the installers, just to make sure. It's pretty rare, but it can happen for some games here on GOG.

If you ever find a game that does not launch without Galaxy even when installed from the installer, don't hesitate to report that to support.
