Does this release fix the really irksome bug with the Abyssal Armor in Darksiders 1?

In the Steam version, once you get all the Abyssal Amor pickups it doesn't work unless you do special and severely hackish things (save game before getting last piece of armor, pick up last piece, DO NOT SAVE, exit to main menu, start new game with the armor, play through prologue without saving, THEN save after the Charred Council, then quit the game entirely to the desktop, restart game, load the new save.)

Odd this is the first I have herd of this bug. The only problem with using the abyssal armor that I have had is that, you must have beaten the game with all abyssal armor pieces in the current session. Then when you start a new game it will ask if you want to use it.

I have a save right at the end of the game so if I want to use the abyssal armor, I just load up that save and beat them game quick. I think I also made a save early in the game or at the begining with the abyssal armor.

What I really would like is to have the abyssal armor with out it's perks. War is way overpowered as is and the perks from the abyssal armor are just crazy.
