I picked up some quests a while ago and am now trying to solve them. One, for example, is:

7: Get Sworn Statement from Görlitz [from 1401/01/16]
Deliver to Foreign Trader at Brünn

I've gone to Gorlitz and talked to all the merchants; none have offered me a statement. Any idea where I get this?

Try breaking into the traders' warehouse at night.

Indeed, breaking in is actually the only way to get these sorts of things - you cannot get them otherwise (you don't even get an option for that).
