On the Darklands Yahoo mailing list site, there's a very useful GUI-based character editor by jugglindan:

jugglindan' editor allows you to change pretty much everything. Obviously this allows you to cheat wholesale, but the reason I like it is that it allows you to change your character's appearance and colours. When creating a new character for my party, I somehow ended up with a woman fighter who looks like a male cleric and vice versa. :) With this editor I was able to fix that.

Sounds great but what if you're not a member of the group?

Easy enough to join. :) It would be nice to have an alternative download of these files, of course, but at least at the moment they're all in the same location and uploading copies elsewhere would required getting permissions. I'd recommend any Darklands fan join the Yahoo groups just for the files alone.
