I'm planning on purchasing Darkest Dungeon but I'm short on money right now. Would it be fine to just purchase the base game and the free DLC only?
Thats what I did, theres plenty to the game without the DLC.
Thanks, I will do so. I've got another three weeks laid up from surgery recovery.
Another quick question. I have not seen the musketeer yet. I did not have an option to add DLC at the start of the campaign. Is it added automatically? I'm not using Galaxy.

Do you install the DLC. You will see the option on starting a new estate (dd2.png). E.G. on Darkest I enabled it & Stygian I did not.

What does Sygian do differently?

SirHandsome: (…)
- You have a time limit to finish the game. (game over condition)
- You must finish the game without losing too much heroes. (game over condition)
- You can't tweak gameplay options (like corpses or retreat that can fail).
- Enemies have more health.
- Enemies have higher crit chances.
- Upgrade costs are higher.
- Light level diminishes faster.
