Hello, I bought the game today and have been enjoying it so far. But after I completed a quest in Week 6 (the game says 6 now in the menu) I got a crash and now my save game also crashes when the loading screen should start showing "[Click] to continue".

I tired to replace my savegame with the files from the backup directory, but that has the same result. I uploaded both profiles (backup and initially broken) here: https://u.pomf.is/rpekxz.zip

My game version is 15015

Update: I started a new profile and the same thing happened. I can't play the game any further it seems.
Update2: I tried my save on another computer and it's also not working there so this should be reproducible with the GNU/Linux port.

If your game crashes when returning in the village after a quest, check the "Game Crash: town_event.layout.darkest (bug fix?, kind of)" topic. I recently updated to version 15015 on Linux and met the issue described in that topic

The comment interface tells me "You cannot post any links at this moment." so sorry for not posting a direct link to the related topic.
Thanks a bunch! That really fixed it.

Nice :-)
From what I saw on the steam forum, it seems the 15015 could actually be a beta version. It would have been nice to know but well ...

By the way, when gog/red hook publish a fix, you may want to undo the fix, so the patch applies seamlessly.
Hello,

I tried the solution in the linked thread, but my game still crash. This is a copy of a Windows save. It used to work before 15015. If I put debug=1 I don't get any message. Is it written on a file somewhere? Any other idea to help me?
I hope red hook fix this soon.

The last update has fixed my issues. I can play again, great!

The slow crash - unforeseen, unforgiving.

As the fix is released, spirits are lifted and purpose is made clear.
I was playing on 15015 initially (as you guys), linux, got a few crashes and after that found out that there is an update.

I did update (now at 16707) and was playing normally. Now I embarked on a mission and from the get-go one of the guys had that gray skull on which comes when somebody was at the death's door and recovers (never got to 0 hp tho mind you, he just stepped on one trap which might or might have not triggered it). Now after I finished that mission I always get a crash when comming back to town. There are no mods installed. I am running english version, locale is sl_SI.UTF-8. I cannot ever load since this always comes up. Those other posts did not help me at all.

((uint32)character_count < size)
ReadString in binary_reader.h line 179
buffer too small!

Hi,

Are you still getting this on version 17449?
