Been trying to play this game forever but continuously run into one problem or another. Tons of hacks and solutions on the forums including downloading files from elsewhere but I just want the game to work as intended.

Isn't that the point of GOG? Why does there seem to be no official support? This game has so many problems but is still at version 1.0.0 since launch.
