Dark Reign 2 wants a CD key no matter if I start it with launcher.exe or dr2.exe.


I have downloaded it here at GOG.

This is a bit weird... mine has just popped up asking if I have a cd each time I launch it. If I press "Yes" it fails, if "No" then going into single player in the menu asks me to restart with a CD. "Cancel" means game won't load.

Here is what GOG-support wrote to me.
And it worked for me:

Could you please try uninstalling the game and installing it again with your antivirus and firewall off and running the installer as administrator? Also make sure that antivirus is not affecting the game while running it. If nothing helps, please try running your PC in clean boot mode to see if any 3rd party software is interfering with the game?
