Hey all. I just got a new laptop(Ive never owned one before). i installed dark reign 2 from GOG and it asked for my video preferance and gave me 2 options to select from. the options were 2 different but the same named intel on board gpu. the laptop has a gtx 1050ti. the game did not allow me to select the gtx and it still has in the options of 2 intel on board gpus in the options. i have tried to use both but they present the same options, lack of resolutions and insufficient video memory. is this a common problem? does anyone know how to fix this?

P.S. The game is playable its just poorly playable.

Download the latest graphics card driver manually and install it. Also install "DirectX end user" from Microsoft.

I see. Well, I know this issue with gaming on laptops. Some games just dont like them.

it is a known issue. even activision do not know how to fix it i believe. the thing is that dark reign 2 was never built for nvidia optimus. you could try to complain to nvidia to try to get a workaround that disables optimus for older games so that it runs directly on the good gpu or you can ask gog or activision to add optimus support.
