shakantala: I love horror games. Probably my favorite games of all time are Shivers and Shivers II: Harvest of Souls--both of which involve exploring a haunted, abandoned location and solving puzzles to unravel the mystery.
PimPamPet: I think I may have said this before, but... These games really need to be on GOG! Post edited November 22, 2010 by Lhademmor

You probably should stay away from Amnesia: The Dark Descent then ;)

I've actually tried the demo, but as soon as I saw the first monster I fear-quitted :P
Instead I tried watching a really great LP of it, and ended up subscribing to the guys and wasting DAYS of my life watching his LPs.
Thanks a lot, Amnesia! :P

Yeah, the game is extremely competent in the horror department even if it felt lacking a bit in the adventure department. Instead I tried watching a really great LP of it, and ended up subscribing to the guys and wasting DAYS of my life watching his LPs.

In any case, trully a unique experience as far as horror in games goes. Nothing like playing it late at night, home alone, lights out, headphones blasting, on one of those nights where the the wind makes the curtains in the room you're playing in move a bit every now and then ;)
