I just joined GOG and downloaded this excellent game. The problem is, it is a flash projector game that runs in full screen. My primary monitor is 1900x1200, and I use an ATI card which does not support changing the screen ratio. This means the -probably very fun- 640x480 game looks...bad. AND resizes my entire monitor- so running other programs in the background or moving it to my secondary monitor is out, as well. Since -w and -window won't work, and neither will the third-party programs I was looking at (not a DX game); I was thinking about running the game in a virtual machine, hence the question.
So, before I download, install, and tweak with it for hours: do GOG games work with DOSBox? They do have a direct link to GOG on the front page, which gives me hope...
Thanks in advance!

GoG games that use dosbox are pre packaged with dosbox.
However, i don't think that's relevant in the case of Dark Fall as it's not a dos based game.
Running the game on a virtual machine will allow you to run the game in a window provided you run the guest OS windowed. Naturally you'll need some sort of Virtual Machine Software (Virtual PC or some other) and an OS to install as guest OS, you won't be needing dosbox at all.
Darn. I was hoping I would be able to use DOSBox -instead- of having to set up a virtual machine -and buy a new copy of windows for it. Yuck.
Do you know if Dark Fall would run on a Linux/Wine configuration? So I don't have to buy another OS for the virtual machine?
Or, alternatively, are there any 3rd party programs that allow resizing of these old Flash games?
Unfortunately i'm completely ignorant in regards to all things Linux/Wine :( sorry, maybe someone else can help you with that one.
You can browse this thread to see if Dark Fall is mentioned.
I'm also not aware of any apps to run projector stuff windowed, which is not to say there aren't any.
Edit: Don't know if this is of any help.
