Same. No suggestions yet, am wondering if it's an update-related issue.

I've downloaded, through microsoft, a few of the SDKs, to include Unity, although Dark Devotion was not coded w/ Unity. Anyhow, SDKs in hopes of either pulling in the appropriate dll, or, if I get time, to see if I can puzzle through a solution.

Apologies, more wool-gathering than helpful.

G OG's reply is just general troubleshooting that I've already done, or to use a work around in Antimicro. I can already use a workaround, I want a goddamn fix. The game supports controllers, so I shouldn't need to resort to shady third party workarounds to use my Xbox one controller with the game...

Agreed, I am not keen on pulling anything off of github to emulate a kb & m, when the game was playing fine w/ x-box style controller not long ago. Damn. I was looking forward to getting some progress into the dungeons in the game.

Again, sorry, not helpful. Will post if I find an actual, functioning, and not bs solution. Was hoping 1 of the visual studio SDks would help w/o doing much digging, or actual coding, but no/ And, writing a tool to act as an interface isn't much different than the antimicro solution, but I am not github

I haven't done jack-all w/ the game, but I do know, from what little digging I did, that 1 of the 1st things the devs aked about was if xinput1_3.dll was in the game install directory. It was, on my system anyhow. Whether or not it's somehow corrupted, this I cannot speak on.
XBox controller is totally broken (I'd call it "unsupported/might work" status) indeed, especially after you open in-game Menu...
There's a workaround if you don't want to play with keyboard: you can FORCE Steam Controller settings Enabled for this external game and controller will finally work as expected all the time.
