Left analog stick as per the controls screen is for moving but it just does this little dash to the right from Any direction it is pressed towards. For a while it instead of dashing just raised the shield facing left for any direction.

As usual, the gamepad works fine in other games.

Restarted the game and it worked for a bit until I pressed the shoulder triggers which restored the glitchy behaviour with no way of fixing it besides restarting the game.
