You can use HEX editor to edit the daikatana.exe to make it go 1080p if you don't want to apply the community patch 1.3. If you need more directions Google them. But I'm going to say right now that it's a bad idea because 1.3 tiny patch was specifically intended to only fix resolution and other technical things not edit the content. Yes, there are two versions of patch 1.3. 1.3 full patch edits the game content and fixes some of the map issues.
