Curious, since i suck at games like this. How do you get cheats to actually work? I'd like to be able to play through this and enjoy the story, at least of what it has story wise.

Don't know. But I would like to find some for the mere fact the enemies in this game are horrendous...

ah hah. i found it. just go into your config and load in the one titled Romero. You will need to change the controls, but when you load into a single player game, press the f# buttons. F1 activates God mode. that's all i need.


Take note this might just be an extra config file for the 1.3 patch, if you just play the original and it isnt there, try the 1.3 patch.

Doesn't work for me, shows "you need to run the server with "+set cheats 1" " message.

Loaded Romero.cfg (it have set all required lines by default), put "+set cheats 1" in the command line in both shortcut to the game and in the GOG Galaxy.
Loading, restarting the game, starting new games... nothing.

What kind if magic is that, where you used all possible methods, ask on the forums and then it starts working right after?

Yeah, the 1.3 patch has everything you need.

I'll ask it here, I can't seem to get the weapon cheats to work anymore on the latest GOG version revision.

The boost cheats work fine, God mode as well, noclip/notarget or infinite ammo too, didn't try the level warp though.

I've tried every variation I could think, but I remember getting the gashands when I tried it when I bought the game here (more or less on release), but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

I've put both the set console and set cheats in the command line, but weapons seem to make the game draw a blank...
Even when starting a fresh game.

Maybe installing v1.3 would fix it, but I wanted to play the "vanilla" version of the game, just to see...
Oh well, I still don't get why GOG's updates killed cheats for a while then reinstated only some.


UPDATE: So yeah it's the GOG revision that borked the weapon cheats for some reason, or maybe it's because once it detects saves it refuses to give the weapons I dunno...
In any case a fresh 1.3 works fine with all cheats.

cheats works 100% with 1.3

start the game with +set console 1 command line

press ~ for the console then type forcecvar cheats 1

all cheats works god, notarget, g_unlimited_ammo 1 etc.
